Visual & Optical Testing
Visual and Optical Testing Visual inspection involves using an inspector’s eyes to look for defects, such as scratches, presence of debris, corrosion or oxidation. The inspector may also use special tools such as magnifying glasses, mirrors, or bore scopes to gain access and more closely inspect the subject area.
Radiographic Testing
ESICO IR 192 gamma radiography inspection. Two-man mobile units are available to service your radiographic needs. We specialize in pipeline construction, new facility construction, pressure vessels, piping fabrication, tanks and shadow shot radiographs. Material of up to 3 inches thick can be inspected with gamma radiography. Reporting is computerized and can be digitally sent to clients.
Magnetic Particle Testing
ESICO Offers portable magnetic particle testing. We have developed techniques for dry particle on high temp components, wet visible and wet fluorescent applications. If you are working with carbon steel materials and looking for surface discontinuities magnetic particle may suit you inspection needs. Reporting is computerized and can be digitally sent to clients.
Liquid Penetrant Testing
ESICO offers liquid penetrant testing. We have developed techniques for visible dye penetrant and fluorescent dye penetrant applications. If you are needing surface inspection while working with ferrous or non-ferrous materials or inspecting for fine discontinuities, liquid penetrant may be the solution you are looking for.
Ultrasonic Testing
ESICO offers ultrasonic inspection. Mobile units are available to service your ultrasonic needs. We specialize in corrosion surveys, lamination scans and shear wave for both new construction and in-service components. Our technicians are equipped with current digital A- scan instruments and composite element probes. Corrosion survey information is entered in a data base and computerized reports can assist in tracking your equipment integrity.
Hardness Testing
We Offer Leeb Hardness testing for various applications. Numerous hardness scales are available to our clients including Rockwell, Vickers and Brinell. Hardness testing can be performed on a variety of materials. We can utilize both new construction and in-service components in this testing method. The equipment is portable so let us bring our service to your job site.
In-Service Inspection
ESICO provides a full range of inspection services designed to help customers monitor the condition of owned equipment or in-service leased equipment during their life cycle. In-service inspections include estimate verification, facility audits, on-hire I off-hire inspections, post- repair inspections, inter modal terminal inspections, and fleet condition assessment.
